At Beach First National Bank (the Bank), keeping customer information secure is a key part of providing quality financial services. Protecting your privacy is important and will continue to be a top priority for the Bank. Our customer privacy policy is summarized below.

What You Should Know.
The Bank recognizes and respects your privacy expectations; we collect and use only the information necessary to provide the high level of customer service you have come to expect. In this customer privacy disclosure we explain what information we collect, how we use it, and the steps we have taken to ensure the confidentiality of any information our customers share with the Bank.

What Information We Collect.
We collect, use and retain nonpublic personal (customer) information from a variety of sources for the purpose of administering our business or to provide products, services or other opportunities for our customers. Customer information is obtained directly from the customer, such as: loan applications, other forms, personal financial statements, or other oral, written, or electronic communications, and is collected when recording customer activity and related transactions with the Bank or other parties. Information is also requested, with your permission, from outside sources (such as employment verifications or credit reports, etc.). The information collected is used to evaluate and manage the Bank’s risks; to protect and administer your accounts, records, and funds; to comply with applicable laws and regulations; to develop and enhance our portfolio of products and services; and other valid business purposes. Information gathered via the Internet, when established, or other electronic means will be used only for appropriate purposes such as evaluation of our web pages’ effectiveness, designing new products or services for the benefit of our customers, or for estimating system capacity needed to conveniently service our customers.

Restricted Disclosure of Information.
Responsible use of information benefits our customers by protecting your privacy and by enabling the Bank to offer you improved services based on your needs. It is our policy to prohibit the sale of customer information to parties outside of our corporate family. The Bank does not reveal specific information about your accounts or other personally identifiable data to external parties unless:

  • You request disclosure of the information.
  • The information is necessary to complete a transaction or perform a service at your request.
  • The information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency.
  • Or the disclosure is otherwise lawfully permitted or required.

What Information We May Disclose.
The Bank does not disclose any information about its current or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. The Bank is permitted to disclose information to third parties that would assist in the servicing of your loan or account, joint marketing, or the prevention of unauthorized transactions. Examples include, but are not limited to: credit bureaus, joint marketing firms, check printing companies, hardware and software servicing, customer statement rendering, item processing, credit card processing, electronic data processing services, or other services required to support our products and services.

Our Security Procedures.
The Bank is committed to preventing others from unauthorized access to your customer information. We maintain procedures and technology designed for this purpose, including the following:

  • The Bank maintains security levels and related procedures to assist in the prevention of unauthorized access to confidential information within our organization. We restrict access to customer information to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to you.
  • The Bank maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard our nonpublic personal information.
  • When sharing information with third parties for purposes of providing services for products you already have, the ability of these companies to protect the information we share with them is an important component of our decision to do business with them. We require these companies to enter into a contractual agreement that restricts the use of the information to those purposes described above, and prohibits independent use of the information. These companies agree to safeguard our confidential customer information and they must abide by applicable law.
